Deciding what to do next (Short Post)

I'm simply getting too much on my plate at once, so I may simple it down to this:
  • I will work on Breakdown Posts near immediately. I'll be doing these for both Yu-gi-oh! and Cardfight!! Vanguard.
  • If I have a deck list for you, I will post it in either a Breakdown Post, so you have a sample deck list to look off of or a Deck Discussion Post. I will take rate or fixes on either post.
  • If there is a request posted in the Request Page on my Weebly site, I will work on that post and get it up A.S.A.P.
Sorry, a lot of things have been coming up, and I will get to every topic eventually, but I do not know how long it'll take me.

For those who haven't noticed (Short post)

There's a list of request topics, a request submission form, and several others in the list. I know I have been off topic as of late, but I need to figure out what I should do on the Yu-gi-oh! side of things. When I'm finished with what I need to do for that, I will continue with the Request Topic list.

So, please, if you are going to request a topic, use the form, if at all possible. If you cannot view it for some reason, or if it's too out of the way, please let me know.

Doing another experiment

There's five things I did so far:
  • Made dangerascend.weebly.com my main page, due to organizing two different blogs at the same time.
  • Moved the Request Topic to dangerascend.weebly.com, since no one really commented in it for new requests, and since there was no commenting, I decided to move it to dangerascend.weebly.com
  • All links to both my blogs are on dangerascend.weebly.com.
  • To get to my weebly page, on the NavBar, I placed "Weebly" next to home.
  • I have also made a Requst Topic Submission page as well, so you can submit your topics there.
Hopefully, this experiment works out.

Technical Difficulties

I've been having overheating issues onto my laptop, unfortunately, so no new posts until that is fixed; however, I can give you a taste of what's to come.
  • Yu-gi-oh! - Breakdown of Crystal Beasts - Part 2
    • This will be what you can use for Rank 3 Xyzs within Crystal Beasts. I'll be going through each Xyz in detail, and remarking whether or not you can use it within your Crystal Beast deck. Most likely, I'll try to cover all Crystal Beasts.
  • Yu-gi-oh! - Breakdown of Crystal Beasts - Part 3
    • This will be what you can use for Rank 4 Xyzs within Crystal Beasts. I'll be going through each Xyz in detail, and remarking whether or not you can use it within your Crystal Beast deck. Most likely, I'll try to cover all Crystal Beasts.
  • Cardfight!! Vanguard - Breakdown of Gold Paladins - Part 1
    • First section of this part is picking out a Starting Vanguard. Second section of this part would be the Grade 0 Breakdown of Gold Paladins.
  • Gaming - Crystal Saga - Hybrid Holy/Blood Priest - Part 3
    • This section will go into detail on what to use for Level 60 to Level 80 skills.
Anyway, just providing you with an idea on how some future posts will be done.

Losing reason to keep the secondary blog

What I was trying to do is whenever I could, I would figure out how to set up more posts, and figure out what exactly I need to do in order to combine both blogs into one, and focus on this one a lot more.

It's another reason why I put my 15 post quota aside and decided to focus in on enjoying posting a lot more, thanks to more things becoming free.

I'll be redoing some posts, and re-posting some of the articles from the secondary blog and putting them onto the first blog. I hope you guys would enjoy them or re-visit some ideas I had.

Cardfight!! Vanguard - Poll Results (short post)

From what I read, the mass majority wants me to pick up several structure decks, and combine them into a deck. This'll be known as the "Budget Discussion" topic that I would set up on the Tutorial Links page.

Next post, later today, will contain Yu-gi-oh! Deck Discussion and Explanation of Chaos Dragons.

I apologize...

I've been crazy busy with things in real life, so I'm going to be going through all comments shown on my blog, and see what I need to do. The list will be added to this post whenever I get some time.

Thank you for your patience, but I haven't been able to get some time to go through everything like I wanted to, and I hit roadblocks. Due to this, I'm removing the 15 post quota.

LIST OF THINGS I NEED TO DO:
  • Repairing the Tachikaze Post, and all other posts in the Cardfight!! Vanguard - Tutorial section
  • Post some Gold Paladin Strategies
  • Budget Experience - Cardfight!! Vanguard

Poll results so far

Sorry that I have been posting on an irregular basis, but I had some tasks to finish in real life before I can post regularly again.

Anyway, as I check the poll results, I've decided to do this for this month:

For 10 posts, it would be the following:
  • For budget purposes, I would use as many Structure Decks to invest, and build a deck based around those cards.
For 10 posts, it would be the following:
  • Yu-gi-oh! News and Counter Strategies to the current meta.
If you have any questions or suggestions, leave a comment.

EDIT: If you are wondering, I'm changing it up a bit, and making it more satisfying for people to view my blog. This is the best solution I came up with.

Yu-gi-oh! TCG - Priority Change (short post)

http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/gameplay/fasteffects_timing.html

For those of you that decided to get use to playing in the OCG version of the game, now you can enter the TCG version of the game, at what you see fit in decks already.

Next post will continue to talk about the Magic Experience I had. Just thought I give you guys a heads-up about the ruling change.

Experience

In relation to last post, I decided to get some experience in a different card game in real life, before I decide to finish up. Currently, through efforts, I decided to take up a new card game: Magic the Gathering, and for a brief period, I was playing it casually with friends. What I did to start off with is to make a deck out of 2 Intro Structure Decks and some random commons I get.

For the remainder of this month, instead of the current Cardfight!! Vanguard plan, I decided to give you guys some time to vote on the poll about budget beats, and work on posts about my Magic experience.

Sorry that I've been doing short posts, but I needed to finish some things in real life.

What I've decided...(short post)

...is to open up a poll to see what you guys think about how to set up the Budget side of Cardfight!! Vanguard, so I'm considering doing one of the following:
  1. For budget purposes, I would only do 2 Structure Decks, and build a deck based around those cards.
  2. Same thing as #1, but invest on however many structure decks you want.
  3. For budget purposes, I would only work on the Half-Deck builds, and calculate how much money is needed to finish the deck.
Anyway, I will open up the poll, and leave it open until the middle of next month.

Updates (short post)

It has come across my attention that I need to shake the discussions a bit more than usual, so I may have to adjust the calender for the future months, that I do an alternating card game rotation, instead of dedicating each month to a sole topic.

Originally, I did the first 3 months of YGO, because I did 3 months or so on Cardfight!! Vanguard, but now, I need to see how this plays out.

Anyway, I'm going to continue with this month being solely on Cardfight!! Vanguard, but next month or so, I may change it to a different pattern.

For this month...

I will have posts containing information about Cardfight!! Vanguard; however, so people do not get confused, I will list the topics I intend to cover within this month:
  1. Trial Deck Discussion: Someone asked me if I'll be doing a Strategy Guide on the Cardfight!! Vanguard Trial Decks.
  2. Half Deck Discussion: Then, after Trial Deck Discussion, when I'm done with all Trial Decks, I'll move on to the Half Deck Discussion and all factors needed to use a Half Deck.
  3. Cardfight Capital Tutorial: I'll be considering to update this, maybe in this month, or June, depending on how much I want to cover in this month.
  4. Card Discussion and tips to use said card: As for the remainder of this month, I'll be doing Single Card Discussion and Strategies to help new players understand why this card works the way that it does.
  5. BT-06: If I find out information about this set, I'll let you guys know immediately.
If there's any topics I missed, let me know. (Cardfight!! Vanguard related)

Updates

Sorry that I haven't been posting for a while, but I decided to take a look at a program that a friend suggested to me: YGOPro. More details would come up later as I get use to setting everything up.

As for the decks, I haven't been on Dueling Network that much to build them, namely due to working on stuff in real life.

~~~
On the Cardfight!! Vanguard side of things, I'll be doing two segments during the month of April which are the following:
  • Strategies on how to use the Trial Decks straight from the box into the Cardfight!! Vanguard playing field.
  • Card Discussions that can help you to understand what exactly to expect people would use them, and how they are used in each deck.
  • Updating the Game Tutorial.
If you want something else to be covered, let me know by commenting.
Thoughts, comments, and updates
Well, since the new list came out, I began to wonder if people are "more geared" to the trio that was unaffected, listed below:
  • Inzektors - fear of the Field not being safe.
  • Wind-Ups - fear of the Hand not being safe.
  • Rescue Rabbit - free negation
With that being said, I'm "more geared" to making archetype guides, so that if someone doesn't want to build one of the trio decks, they can always find an archetype guide of their choosing, so that six months from now, when the ban list actually hits the three decks, you wouldn't be affected by the ban list, and have something to fall back on.
In other blog posts that bloggers did, they pointed out how the "ban list was bad". Well, yeah, but who said that you had to stick around in real life and pay money for the game anymore. For me, I stuck with playing online for one reason: "To have fun and play the game the way it was meant to be"; however, there's a risk behind every idea which is: "People would most likely netdeck more and use the decks that top at the YCS."
Also, if I based my findings on real life actions, then I would have to take into account the budget and everything else that factors into real life actions, which one of those factors would be "stacking your own deck, so you'll get a good hand near 100% of the time". In my opinion, playing online is less biased and more reliable, because you wouldn't have the luxury of "cheating" by shuffling.
So, what am I going to do now? Of course, I could point out flaws that Konami has made within the ban list, OR I could do is make archetype guides with a sample deck list(s) attached to them.
Didn't I do something like this already? Yes, I have with the Cardfight!! Vanguard tutorial, but this time it would be "more geared" towards Yu-gi-oh! with these Archetype Guides.
Anyway, thoughts, comments, and discuss.
Scheduling Posts and Thoughts/Questions
I've decided to schedule a bunch of posts ahead of time, at least for some months, so that I can focus in on other things; however, I don't think people realize how to schedule posts on Blogger, so I'll point it out:
Under "Post Settings", there's a Schedule Button. Click it, and it drops down that area into 2 areas you can check off. Check off "Set date and time", and it'll show a calender where you can click on whatever date you like and whatever time you like. Afterwards, click "Done" to finish scheduling the post date and when it will be posted on your blog.
For the new decks that I'll start working on when the new ban list is revealed, I want to ask you this question: "For Dark Worlds, which Field Spell would you prefer?" (Both card images came from Yu-gi-oh! Wikia.)
OR
Why am I asking this? In the current meta, I decided to think outside of the box, and come up with a new tactical plan. The problem is this: "If I'm going to need discards, I would consider an option where it doesn't force you to set anything to "set up your play"." The next question would be the same for the Field Spells, but this time, it would be the most preferred: "For a discard effect to use Dark World, which one out of the two cards shown below would you pick?"
OR
More will be discussed in February.
Several comments
I've begin to notice that people are discussing ban lists and that. I have a general comment to what people think should or shouldn't return:
  • If players think that Thousand Eyes Restrict should go to 1. Everyone would be running Formula Synchron and Instant Fusion, because we already have a Tuner that's reusable when it hits the Graveyard. (Glow-Up Bulb)
  • As for stuff that I should think that should be hit in an archetype sense (I don't really pull specifics on specific archetype cards, because it feels unnecessary)
    • Insecters - Why? Because their archetype can net you pluses like mad. It really becomes ridiculous in both the early game (first turn) or late game.
    • Wind-Ups - Why? First turn Hunter loop. They need to lower the consistency of that loop, so that it doesn't happen constantly first turn.
    • Agents - Why? Still constantly good, and as a result, it should get hit by the ban list.
  • As for single cards that I see should be banned or limited, I put in the separate section for it. Here it is:
    • Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning - Why? It's being used in nearly every single deck out there, so I'm figuring that it'll be banned on March 1st, 2012.
    • Leviair the Sea Dragon - Why? It has been used in too many combinations, that it would be hit. Also, Rank 3s are the easiest Xyzs to summon, unfortunately, so I see it being limited, if not banned, coming March 1st, 2012.
I'm just stating my views of what should be hit on the ban list. There's no way to know what'll get removed, until the ban list reveals itself.
The Polls:
Sorry that I haven't gotten a chance to comment about this yet, but here's the result of the polls that were going on until January 1st, 2011 at midnight.
First poll is "Is having Twitter updates, shown on my blog, helpful to get you the latest updates, as quickly as possible?" Five people voted Yes, and four people voted No.
Second poll is "Which Yu-gi-oh! text do you prefer?" 13 people voted for OCG text, and 11 people voted for TCG text.
Thank you all for voting.
Other comments:
I will be adding a bunch of stuff to this blog. Look forward to what I have in store for you.
Have a happy new year!
Since it is December 31st, 2011, I was deciding on a routine for you all. For next month, I will be doing Yu-gi-oh! posts, so expect those to come back.
The schedule will be as follows:
  • January 2012 - Yu-gi-oh!
  • February 2012 - Yu-gi-oh!
  • March 2012 - Yu-gi-oh!
  • April 2012 - Cardfight!! Vanguard
  • May 2012 - Yu-gi-oh!
  • June 2012 - Cardfight!! Vanguard
  • July 2012 - Yu-gi-oh!
  • August 2012 - Cardfight!! Vanguard
  • September 2012 - Yu-gi-oh!
  • October 2012 - Cardfight!! Vanguard
  • November 2012 - Yu-gi-oh!
  • December 2012 - Cardfight!! Vanguard
This schedule will be subject to change over a longer period of time, but this is the rough draft I had in mind. The reason why I'm doing the first 3 months of 2012 as Yu-gi-oh!, because I'll be waiting for more cards to come in for Cardfight!! Vanguard. Not to mention, I've been getting ideas by watching duels on Dueling Network, that I can't sit by idly and watch the opprotunity past me by. With that being said, I would point out a card that I recently saw, but that has been out for a while:
(from Yu-gi-oh! Wikia)
Vanity's Emptiness
[Continuous Trap Card]
Neither player can Special Summon monsters. Destroy this card when a card is sent from the Deck or the field to your Graveyard.
Pro:
  • Your opponent cannot Special Summon monsters.
Cons:
  • You cannot Special Summon monsters.
  • When a card gets sent from your Deck or the field to your Graveyard, Vanity's Emptiness is destroyed.
There's cards that can remedy one "Con" from this card, which is using Imperial Customs and Starlight Road. Now then, why am I suggesting this? Find out in 2012.
Updates
Alright, there's some things that I have been working on, so here's the general update for you all:
  • Cardfight!! Vanguard updates:
    • Giraffa + Machining
      • This seems to be going well, so this'll probably be the first thing posted on my blog. Swarm tactics plus destruction of opponent's boosters next turn is too good to pass up.
    • Nubatama + Murakumo + Oracle Think Tank
      • For the Oracle Think Tank portion, I'm only using them for their triggers so far.
      • For the Murakumo portion, I'm using Twin Swordsman MUSASHI and Left/Right Arrestor for power gain.
      • For the Nubatama portion, I'm using them to discard my opponent's hand fast and quickly to make sure that my opponent can't bounce back.
  • Yu-gi-oh! updates
    • Steelswarm
      • Something that I've been curious about for a while. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Tutorial Maintenance
I'll be looking through each post, and see if I need to change anything, and the following changes will be listed below, so this post will be modified after each post that I modified. If there's any requests I missed in the comments of those posts, I will list them on this post, and get to them shortly.
Also, this post will be updated constantly, and when it gets to be too long to bear, you can use CTRL+F to find what you are looking for: Hybrid Strategies, Non-Full Clan Discussion, List of Fixes, and List of Requests.
Hybrid Strategies:
  • Shadow Paladins + Royal Paladins
    • This is one strategy I want to see run perfectly. Why you ask? The new Royal Paladin starter in Set 5 has an effect of which if a "Blaster" unit's attack hit when this card boosts the "Blaster" unit, you can add this card to your Soul, and search out 1 "Blaster" card from your Deck, and add it to your Hand.
  • Nubatama/Murakumo/??? Hybrid
    • Prevention, Discarding, and ??? all in one.
  • Bermuda Triangle/??? Hybrid
    • Soul Blasting into ???.
  • Great Nature/??? Hybrid
    • Continuously making sure the attacking zones are 20k+ or 21k+.
  • Shadow Paladin/??? Hybrid
    • Shadow Paladins + ??? makes for an interesting wonder.
  • Amon/BFD Hybrid
    • Retiring by adding cards to Soul boosts Doreen the Thruster and BFD (and any other Kagero's effects that allows a power boost by retiring an opponent's Rear Guard.)
Non-Full Clan Discussion:
  •  Nubatama/Murakumo/??? Hybrid
    • Nubatama
      • Preview: This archetype is basically one of two things:
        • If your opponent has more cards than you, you can use Counterblast 1 ability to make them discard from their hand.
        • If you have more cards than your opponent, your units gain additional power.
    • Murakumo
      • Preview: This archetype has been all over the place, so I'll separate them into seperate cards to explain what's actually going on:
        • Dueling Dragon ZANBAKU: This card prevents your opponent from riding more than one Grade 3.
        • Twin Swordsman MUSASHI: This card gains 2000 power if you have more Rear Guards than your opponent.
        • Left and Right Arrestor: These card gains 3000 power if the other card is on the Field in the correct Rear Guard Zone. I.E. Left Arrestor in Left Rear Guard Zone and Right Arrestor in Right Rear Guard Zone.
        • Archer FUSHIMI: If you ride him on top of a Murakumo Unit, you get to attack one unit in the back row.
  • Bermuda Triangles/??? Hybrid
    • Bermuda Triangles
      • Basically, they use Soul Blast effects to return one Bermuda Triangle unit to their hand. You do not need a Bermuda Triangle Vanguard to do this.
  • Great Nature/??? Hybrid
    • Great Nature
      • With either resting or Counterblast 2, they can gain power to get over a certain amount of Shields. For example:
        • +4000 will not get over a Shield.
        • +8000 will get over a 5000 Shield.
        • +12000 will get over a 10000 Shield.
    List of Fixes:
    Names and hyperlinks needed to be changed to the following cards:
    Title of Blog Post needed to be changed to the following post:
    Other Miscellaneous Changes:
        List of Requests:
        • Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies II - Megacolony - Part 2
          • Request: Giraffa + Machining
        • Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies II - Kagero - Part 3
          • Request: Taking a deeper look into the Amber Series, with Heat Nail Salamander and Bellicosity Dragon.
          If you guys have a request for a Cardfight!! Vanguard deck, leave a comment. Anyway, enjoy!
