Some thoughts...

First off, before I get some questions on why there's no Part 2 for Oracle Think Tank and Nova Grapplers, I'll explain it here: Cardfight!! Vanguard is a young game, and with each new set, there's bound to be new strategies for the clans, hence why I labeled them as "Part 1" without a "Part 2".

For the poll, it looks like the majority of the people are voting "No.". I'll still keep it open for the duration, but that's how the poll is beginning to look.

On the Yu-gi-oh! side of things, Rescue Rabbit...is like a godsend to Xyz for Normal Monsters. Below is the effect: (got the card effect and that from Yu-gi-oh! Wikia)

Rescue Rabbit
**  Attribute: Earth
[Beast/Effect]
This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Deck. Banish this face-up card you control: Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters from your Deck with the same name. A monster Special Summoned by this effect is destroyed during the End Phase. The effect of "Rescue Rabbit" can only be activated once per turn.
ATK: 300   DEF: 100

So, the pros and cons are:

Pros:
  • Special Summons 2 Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters from your Deck with the same name.
  • Can often lead to a Xyzs Summoning
Cons:
  • This card cannot be Summoned from the Deck.
  • This card is banished as a cost.
  • You can use this effect once per turn.
So, when I read this card, it is broken on it's own. But, with Empty Space Sea Serpent Levaiel, it's like..."Can I use this effect once per turn?"

Just some thoughts.

Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies - Nova Grapplers - Part 1

Picking out a Grade 0 Vanguard:
For this one, pick Battleraizer. Of course with his effect of summoning him in the Rear Guard circle, you can return it to your Deck, to have 1 more Stand Trigger in your Deck for later use.

Basic Strategy:
For this strategy, you are utilizing Standing effects, in order to deal more attacks to your opponent. The main Grade 3 that you should be shooting for is Asura Kaizer. For Asura Kaizer's effect, you need to Drive Check a Grade 3. However, if you focus in around his effect, and max out every single Grade 3 card for Nova Grapplers, you'll have a hard time to Guard, because you'll have no Grade 0, Grade 1, or Grade 2s in your Hand. So, I only focused in on Asura Kaiser and Lion Heat, since both of them have some sort of effect to cause something to Stand.

Guarding:
You have 16 Grade 0 Shields (10000, unless it's a Draw Trigger, then it's 5000) and 10 Grade 1 Shields. (5000) Also, you can use NGM Prototype as an Interceptor (10000, only when he intercepts on the Field), otherwise, you have Grade 2 Shields from your Hand to block (5000). Also, you can use Twin Blader as a Guardian, by discarding a card, you can block the attack completely.

Sample Deck List:

Grade 0:
4x Lucky Girl
4x Battleraizer
4x Three Minutes
4x Round Girl Clara

Grade 1:
3x Clay Soldier
3x Claydoll Mechanic
4x Screamin' and Dancin' Announcer Shout
4x Twin Blader

Grade 2:
4x NGM Prototype
4x Genocide Jack
4x Hungry Dumpty

Grade 3:
4x Asura Kaizer
4x Lion Heat

Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies - Oracle Think Tank - Part 1

Picking out a Grade 0 Vanguard:
In this instance, pick Lozenge Magus. Not only because of the effect of being called to the Rear Guard, but the "return to Deck" part of it, which makes Heal Triggers in this deck reusable.

Basic Strategy:
The main strategy of this deck is to make the Soul have less than 1 card. (Yes, I mean 0 cards or 1 card depending on circumstances) for Scarlet Witch Koko to use her effect to the maximum efficiency. Such cards that use Soul Blasts are as follows:
Unfortunately, there's not enough Soul Blast effects that can stand out in Oracle Think Tank, so an alternative strategy was needed.

Alternative Strategy:
The alternative strategy is to use CEO Amaterasu. Using her Soul Charge to check the top card of the Deck almost guarantees for a Trigger. Also, her effect for a power boost only requires that you have 4+ cards in your Hand while CEO Amaterasu is in the Vanguard Circle. Also, with her Soul Blast 8, Counter Blast 5 effect, you can drain your Soul well enough to call Scarlet Witch Koko and use the effect to the maximum.

Such card(s) that can be added to Soul are:
Guarding:
With 16 Grade 0 Shields (10000, unless it's a Draw Trigger, then it's 5000) and 11 Grade 1 Shields (5000), you can guard easily from attacks. Also, with Security Guardian intercepting (It becomes 10000 when intercepting, otherwise it's 5000.), you have 8 other Grade 2 Interceptors/Guardians. If you use Battle Sister Chocolat as a Guardian, you can discard a card to block an attack completely.

Sample Deck List:

Grade 0:

Grade 1:

Grade 2:

Grade 3:

If you have any questions, leave a comment.

Also, I noticed the random "spaces" between randomly that I didn't expect in "Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies - Kagero - Part 2", so I took some time to repair that post as well. Sorry for the inconvenience from that.

Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies - Kagero - Part 2

Picking out a Grade 0 Vanguard:
For the Grade 0 Vanguard, pick Lizard Soldier Conroe. Not only for his search effect, but also for his 5000 Power it has, which can run over a shield if need be.

Strategy:
For this, you need to focus in on Blazing Flare Dragon, or any boost that you gain for retiring opponent's units. So, for motivational purposes, you can attempt to Superior Ride into Blazing Flare Dragon by using Blazing Core Dragon's effect.

Some monsters get a bonus for having retiring your opponent Rear Guards during your Main Phase. Such cards are the following:
Some monsters have the ability to retire your opponent's units during your Main Phase. Such cards are the following:
We have 17 Grade 0 Shields (10000, except Draw Triggers are 5000 Shields) and 11 Grade 1 Shields (5000) to guard with. Along with the 12 Interceptors (5000), you have Wyvern Guard Barri, which you can discard a card to block an attack completely while Wyvern Guard Barri is in the Guardian Circle.

Just wondering... (short post)

Would you guys want me to create a forum for you guys to discuss freely about anything? (without being completely stupid) I'm considering making a forum, and if you want it, vote Yes. If not, vote No.

I'll keep the poll up for 14 days. The poll will end July 8th, 2011 at Midnight. Regardless, let me know.

The choices would be as follows:
  • Yes, because I want to have a place to discuss freely about Yu-gi-oh!
  • Yes, because I want to have a place to discuss freely about Cardfight!! Vanguard.
  • Yes, because I want to have a place to role-play.
  • Yes, because __________________________. (Let me know.)
  • No.
Just for a reminder, I will have rules and that on my forum.

Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies - Kagero - Part 1

Picking out a Grade 0 Vanguard:
For this deck, pick out Lizard Soldier Conroe for the Grade 0 Vanguard. When you call him to the back row, you can do a Counter Blast 1, and pick out a Grade 0 or Grade 1 card from your Deck and add it to your Hand, which is handy in this strategy because you need to gather 1 Grade 0, 1 Grade 1, and ride with the respected Grade 2 you need.

Strategy:
In this deck, you are focusing in on Superior Riding, which has a cost of Counter Blast 1. For Kageros, there's two Superior Rides: Embodiment of Victory, Aleph and Blazing Flare Dragon. I'll discuss about each Superior Ride below.

For Embodiment of Victory, Aleph, you need the following: Embodiment of Spear, Tahr, Embodiment of Armor, Bahr, and Dragon Knight Aleph. The Grade 2 that you need to ride with is Dragon Knight Aleph, because it holds the effect to Superior Ride. The Grade 1 that you need to have at the time you want to use the effect is Embodiment of Armor, Bahr. The Grade 0 that you need to have at the time you want to use the effect is Embodiment of Spear, Tahr.

For Blazing Flare Dragon, you need the following: Gatling Claw Dragon, Iron Tail Dragon, and Blazing Core Dragon. The Grade 2 that you need to ride with is Blazing Core Dragon, because it holds the effect to Superior Ride. The Grade 1 that you need to have at the time you want to use the effect is Iron Tail Dragon. The Grade 0 that you need to have at the time you want to use the effect is Gatling Claw Dragon.

Unfortunately, we wouldn't have a good chance to have all the cards needed to Superior Ride, hence why I recommend multiple Lizard Soldier Conroe. It increases your odds to Superior Ride, in a sense. Even if you don't need the effect since you already have those cards in your Hand, you can search out other Grade 0s and Grade 1s that you may need later.

Guarding:
We have 20 Grade 0 Shields (10000, except Draw Triggers are 5000 Shields) and 12 Grade 1 Shields (5000) to guard with. Along with the 8 Interceptors (5000), you have Wyvern Guard Barri, which you can discard a card to block an attack completely while Wyvern Guard Barri is in the Guardian Circle.

Sample Deck List:

Grade 0:
4x Embodiment of Spear, Tahr
4x Demonic Dragon Mage Raksha
4x Gatling Claw Dragon
4x Dragon Monk Genjo
4x Lizard Soldier Conroe

Grade 1:

Grade 2:

Grade 3:

~~~
If you have any questions, leave a comment. Also, I'm curious if the internet links to the cards help understand  the strategy a bit better, so if you have any comments about that, let me know as well.
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies - Royal Paladins - Part 2
Calling out a Grade 0 Vanguard:
In this deck, Barcgal would still be an excellent choice, because if your hand is filled with Grade 3s, and your Vanguard is Grade 1, you can Superior Ride into a Grade 2, so that you don't get stalled.
EDIT: This deck was made before Barkgal was banned from Starting Vanguard position in tournaments. If you want to find a Royal Paladin Deck that doesn't have Barkgal as Starting Vanguard, go to the Strategy II posts that I have made.
Basic Strategy:
This strategy optimizes Crimson Butterfly Brigitte and Knight of the Harp, Tristan with 10 Grade 3s in this deck. Please note that your hand will be clogged with Grade 3s, therefore if you can't perform enough damage, then you will lose the fight. Another out for this deck is using Knight of Conviction, Bors with a 7000 Power Grade 1 Booster or a 8000 Power Grade 1 Booster, because when you use the Counter Blast for it, the combined Power Level would be around 20000 to 21000, which is enough for your opponent to waste two Shields instead of 1.
Guarding:
With the Grade 3s clogging up the hand, you will need to conserve as much as you can, because with only a Grade 3 hand, you will receive some Damage. With 17 Grade 0 Shields (10000 Shields) and 9 Grade 1 Shields (5000 Shields), you have little room for error. With Grade 2s, you have The Knight of Truth Gordon as a 10000 Shield interceptor. Otherwise, they are 5000 Shields. Also, with Flash Shield Iseult, by discard 1 Royal Paladin, I can discard a Royal Paladin to block an attack completely without fail.
Sample Deck List:
Grade 0:
4x Future Knight, Llew
4x Transporter of Good Luck, Epona
4x Flogal
4x Yggdrasil Maiden Elaine
Barcgal
Grade 1:
3x Little Sage Marron
3x Lake Maiden Lien
3x Flash Shield Iseult
3x Starlight Unicorn
Grade 2:
2x Blaster Blade
3x Knight of the Harp, Tristan
3x High Dog Breeder, Akane
3x Knight of Truth Gordon
Grade 3:
3x Gigantic Charger
3x Knight of Conviction, Bors
4x Crimson Butterfly Brigitte
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies - Royal Paladins - Part 1
Picking out a Grade 0 Vanguard:
Typically, players would go for Barcgal, since people would be focused in on it's effect of being summoned in a Rear Guard circle when you ride a Grade 1 Vanguard. Not only that, but it's effect allows you to summon Flogal or Future Knight, Llew as a Rear Guard. With Future Knight, Llew, you can Superior Ride into Buster Blade, when you receive one damage and your Vanguard is a Grade 1.
EDIT: This deck was made before Barcgal was banned from Starting Vanguard position in tournaments. If you want to find a Royal Paladin Deck that doesn't have Barcgal as Starting Vanguard, go to the Strategy II posts that I have made.
Basic Strategy:
With their swarm capabilities with such cards as Barcgal, High Dog Breeder, Akane, and Gigantic Charger, King of Knights, Alfred would be an optimal choice, since he gains a 2000 power boost per Royal Paladin on your Field. That's where they need to defend with whatever they got, since it'll take them 2 Shields to block King of Knights, Alfred's attack.
Another strategy is to gain enough Soul to do a Soul Saver Dragon's Soul Blast. With the Soul Blast giving your Rear Guards 5000 power boost, it'll become much harder for your opponent to block all 3 attacks. With that strategy in place, the only thing you need to do is Superior Ride to fulfill that requirement of Soul Blast 5. For a further clarity on a Soul Blast, if you Soul Blast with that set up, it'll go like this (as an example):
  • Blaster Blade gets sent to your Drop Zone first.
  • Your Grade 1 that you used as a Vanguard gets sent to your Drop Zone second.
  • If Barcgal is next underneath your Grade 1, then it gets sent to your Drop Zone third.
  • If Flogal is next underneath Barcgal, then it gets sent to your Drop Zone fourth.
  • If Future Knight, Llew is next underneath Flogal, then it gets sent to your Drop Zone fifth.
For Soul Charging, or if you have effects that send the specific card to your Soul, then it gets sent directly underneath your Vanguard pile (also known as your Soul pile). If I wasn't clear in the terms, then I'm sorry about that.
Guarding:
Well, there's 17 Grade 0 Shields (10000) and 10 Grade 1 Shields (5000). With that being said, there's 12 Grade 2s, with the ability to Intercept. If you have Knight of Truth Gordon, it can become a 10000 Shield, only if it's used as an Interceptor (which means, he has to be on the field of play). Otherwise, the 12 Grade 2s are 5000 Shields.
EDIT: Also, with Flash Shield, Iseult, I can discard a Royal Paladin to block an attack completely without fail.
Alright, currently...
...I've been trying to figure out what order I should do the posts. It's not that often where I'm not sure on what to do, until I decided to look towards the clans.
If I decide to do the hybrid before the Game Analysis, I will never get it done and shown, because if I go into hybrids, I will have 20 to 30 posts on all the possible combinations that you can do. Anyway, so here's the order I'm going to post and show you.
  • Strategy - Royal Paladins
  • Strategy - Kagero
  • Strategy - Oracle Think Tank
  • Strategy - Nova Grappler
  • Strategy - Grand Blue
  • (Any other clans that are completed by an upcoming set, then the strategy of them will come before the Game Analysis and Game Tutorial)
  • Game Analysis
  • Game Tutorial
  • Hybrid Strategies - (Insert 2 clan names here)
Anyway, just letting you guys know what I'm planning. This list is to give you an idea on what to expect shown in order, but I may adjust the order to what I need more time on.
Results of the poll (short post)
I will go ahead and discuss strategies for the clans and show sample deck lists. Anyway, it would give me a good amount of time to set up the Game Analysis and Game Tutorial of the online Cardfight!! Vanguard game. Regardless, even if your vote didn't win, both topics will be hit over a period of time. The reason behind the poll was which one do you want to see first. That's all.
With customs...(short post)
I've been trying to figure out what to do, since the TCG had that text change. So, I've been thinking about if I need to change up my routine on how I make my cards. Namely, I've been thinking about making a fun set with the different text: OCG text, TCG text, or any custom text I decide to implement.
It might be unneeded effort on my end, but whatever the case may be, some people seem to prefer the custom TCG text. (Maybe, it is because it's better understandable. I'm not sure.)
Anyway, it's just a small thought I had towards my customs as of late.
Cardfight!! Vanguard - The Basics - Part 5 - Finishing Comments
Well, since I explained how the phases worked, I'll tell you what order the phases come into play:
"Stand and Draw" Phase
Ride Phase
Main Phase
Battle Phase
End Phase
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To expand a bit further on the poll, I'll explain what would be next according to the poll:

  • Strategy - Clans (along with some sample Deck Lists)
    • This will involve Purebreds first, then go into Hybrids.
    • Hybrids can go into a separate section, so I may do them after the Game Analysis
  • Game Analysis and Tutorial (Online Game about Cardfight!! Vanguard)
    • This is a BYOND game, so a tutorial is needed, like an instruction booklet is needed for a game. Hence why I'm doing the Game Analysis and the Game Tutorial together.
Also, you can't call a Guardian that's a higher grade than your Vanguard. Anyway, if you have any questions, leave a comment.

EDIT: A frequent question comes up, and I'll address it here, since this is where the question appears at the most.

Why do you have "The Basics" when you can watch the Cardfight!! Vanguard anime?
This is for the people that don't have the luxury of watching the anime and want to get into the game: Cardfight!! Vanguard. I know the anime exists, but for people that just want to watch it just to learn, and waste approximately 2 hours for them to learn fully what happens during a match, (AND have them misplay) it would make a bit more sense if there's another source for them to understand how to play. Long story short, you cannot trust the anime to learn Cardfight!! Vanguard. It is better for you to have someone else teach you, or read about it, hence why I made "The Basics".

Small Update

For the Cardfight!! Vanguard Tutorial, I changed something in it, since I was explaining it incorrectly.

Before it was changed:
  • Soul Blast:
    • To pay for this cost, you move over the respectful amount of card(s) from your Soul to your Drop Zone. For example, Soul Blast(5) = you move 5 cards from your Soul to your Drop Zone.
After it was changed:
  • Soul Blast
    • To pay for this cost, you move over the respectful amount of card(s) from your Soul (the cards underneath your Vanguard directly) to your Drop Zone. For example, Soul Blast(5) = you move 5 cards from your Soul that's directly underneath your Vanguard to your Drop Zone.
Hopefully, that clears up some ends.

~~~
As for the next topic, I'm thinking about doing one of two things next for the Cardfight!! Vanguard tutorial, but since I'm unsure on what to do, I'll set up a poll for you guys to vote on. (The poll will end at 6/15/2011 at 12:00 A.M.) The answer would lead me to move onto the next topic on the issue. The two topics I'm thinking about would be the following:
  • Strategy - Clans (along with some sample Deck Lists)
  • Game Analysis and Tutorial (Online Game about Cardfight!! Vanguard)
I will eventually get to both, so both will be covered, but what do you guys prefer first? I'll leave that up to you. (The poll will be on the sidebar, so go ahead and cast your vote.)
