Thoughts

I'm considering doing the following:
  • Make an Ice Barrier Guide since Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier is banned, and make a sample build to get an idea of what to utilize with Ice Barriers.
  • Make a Plant Deck Guide, since Spore and Glow-Up Bulb are banned, and make a sample build to get an ide of what to utilize with Plants (and maybe include Reborn Tengu. I'm not sure yet).
  • Make a T.G. Stun Deck Guide since T.G. Striker became limited, and make a sample build to get an idea of what to utilize with T.G. Stun decks, currently.
  • Make an Agent Deck Guide since The Agent of Mystery - Earth became limited, and make a sample build to get an idea of what to utilize with Agent decks, currently.
As for the other blog, I haven't been able to complete some tasks, so I'm putting that blog on hold until next week sometime.

If you have any suggestion on any deck guide(s) I should make, let me know by commenting, and I'll add it to the list of what I'm considering to do.

~~~
What I've noticed this format is that nothing has changed from last format, sadly, so prior decks I made can still be good in this coming format. It'll be not one of the three decks that are considered Tier 1, but it'll be a fun, competitive deck to utilize during this format.
Would it be interesting to try rather than dealing with the same 3 decks constantly dueling, or would you rather create an idea that can compete with decks on a fun, creative, and innovative level? The choice is yours.
Some thoughts...
First off, before I get some questions on why there's no Part 2 for Oracle Think Tank and Nova Grapplers, I'll explain it here: Cardfight!! Vanguard is a young game, and with each new set, there's bound to be new strategies for the clans, hence why I labeled them as "Part 1" without a "Part 2".
For the poll, it looks like the majority of the people are voting "No.". I'll still keep it open for the duration, but that's how the poll is beginning to look.
On the Yu-gi-oh! side of things, Rescue Rabbit...is like a godsend to Xyz for Normal Monsters. Below is the effect: (got the card effect and that from Yu-gi-oh! Wikia)
Rescue Rabbit
**  Attribute: Earth
[Beast/Effect]
This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Deck. Banish this face-up card you control: Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters from your Deck with the same name. A monster Special Summoned by this effect is destroyed during the End Phase. The effect of "Rescue Rabbit" can only be activated once per turn.
ATK: 300   DEF: 100
So, the pros and cons are:
Pros:
  • Special Summons 2 Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters from your Deck with the same name.
  • Can often lead to a Xyzs Summoning
Cons:
  • This card cannot be Summoned from the Deck.
  • This card is banished as a cost.
  • You can use this effect once per turn.
So, when I read this card, it is broken on it's own. But, with Empty Space Sea Serpent Levaiel, it's like..."Can I use this effect once per turn?"
Just some thoughts.
With customs...(short post)
I've been trying to figure out what to do, since the TCG had that text change. So, I've been thinking about if I need to change up my routine on how I make my cards. Namely, I've been thinking about making a fun set with the different text: OCG text, TCG text, or any custom text I decide to implement.
It might be unneeded effort on my end, but whatever the case may be, some people seem to prefer the custom TCG text. (Maybe, it is because it's better understandable. I'm not sure.)
Anyway, it's just a small thought I had towards my customs as of late.
A small thought...(short post)
Yeah, I've been in and out for today, so I've been wondering this:
  • Would Phantom Skyblaster be good in Rituals, since Tokens can't be used for Exceed Summoning unless it's a trap monster?
To put it briefly, this will be my next deck idea, with Ritual Devils, Richuas, and whatever else I can think of.
Exceed Monsters (Thoughts) and (Speculated) March 2011 Ban List Thoughts
Well, it'll seem pointless for me to spend time discussing what has already discussed in the past 12+ hours, so I'm going to point out some other thoughts I had when viewing these monsters. If you want to view the actual info itself, go on Shriek OCG News and find out more. (EDIT: The picture below came from Yu-gi-oh! Wikia.)
As you know, it is a Rank 4 monster, so my thoughts were like this:
Can tokens be used for Exceed Summoning? Yes, this was speculation because I wasn't sure about a couple of minutes ago about tokens being used. Now, that it's clear, ain't it good to have 3 Phantom Skyblasters at this time? Because now, it's an instant 2500 ATK beater with little to no problems. So yeah, I'm assuming it's possible, until I hear otherwise. EDIT: It's not possible to overlay the Skyblaster Tokens with Phantom Skyblaster.
What about United We Stand and how many monsters that can be on the Field at one time? This is one question that I'm not even sure about. So, let me pull up the effect of United We Stand and bold, italics, and underline what I'm thinking about.
United We Stand
[Equip Spell Card]
Increase the ATK and DEF of the equipped monster by 800 points for each face-up monster you control.
What I'm considering is "Do these Overlay Units still be counted as monsters?" If so, then, instead of having 4000 ATK maximum increase that you can have out, you can have 10400ATK maximum increase. I just thought I might as well that out, so that you guys can be curious and ask questions. (EDIT: The overlay monsters do not count as monsters while they are treated as Overlay Units.)
Now for the speculated March 2011 Ban List that was posted by most bloggers already, so I thought I might as well comment on it:
Forbidden:
Goyo Guardian
Cold Wave
Mass Driver
Limited:
Honest
Dandylion
Blackwing - Kalut the Moon Shadow
Book of Moon
Gateway of the Six
Semi-Limited:
Card Trooper
Archlord Kristya
Spirit Reaper
Debris Dragon
Royal Tribute
Overload Fusion
Megamorph
Solemn Warning
Icarus Attack
Unlimited:
Chaos Sorcerer
Demise, King of Armageddon
Snipe Hunter
Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier
Gold Sarcophagus
Skill Drain
Ultimate Offering
Ok, I'm not going to preach about the list saying if it's bad or not, but I'll let you guys know of some thoughts I had when reading this:
Honest at 1 and Megamorph at 2: With Honest at 1, I don't mind focusing my Vairon build around getting Honest in the Graveyard fast, so that I can recycle it with Armed Changer. Not to mention this card from Extreme Victory (got this information of the Shriek page):
Assaulting the Weak Point
[Counter Trap Card]
Negate the activation of the effect of an Effect Monster that activates in the hand or Graveyard and remove it from play.
With this being out, I'm questioning if it's even worth it to run it in Vairons since Megamorph went to two.
Chaos Sorcerer at 3: Yeah, I can see this being used almost immediately. With the Exceed Monster (shown above) as a Light monster and Phantom Skyblaster being a Dark monster, I can see more decks being a Chaos variant.
Mass Driver at 0 and Ultimate Offering at 3: Is it me, or did people forget Cannon Soldier and Dark Ptera? I know it hasn't had much of an impact, but still....
I don't typically do this, but since some people were posting about it, I might as well join in and give my thoughts on the matter.
