Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies II - Tachikaze - Part 1

Picking out a Grade 0 Vanguard:
Pick Dragon Egg. With his ability to pull himself out of the Soul when you ride a Grade 1 Tachikaze, and his bring back ability when Dragon Egg is retired, it'll be best if you have him out as soon as you can.

Strategy (Superior Riding):
This strategy focuses in on Superior Riding into Chaos Dragon Dinochaos. Ways around the retire cost of his are the following:
The back-up Vanguard would be Tyrant Deathrex, since when it attacks, it's 15000, and if it hits, you have to retire one of your creatures.

Guarding:
  • 12 Grade 0 Shields (10000)
  • 8 Draw Triggers (5000)
  • 7 Grade 1 Shields (10000)
  • 4 Archbird
  • 11 Grade 2 Shields/Interceptors (5000)
Sample Deck List:

Grade 0:
4x Black Cannon Tiger
4x Bombarding Dragon, Sledge Ankylo
4x Herbivore Dragon, Brutesaurus
4x Savage Shaman
Dragon Egg

Grade 1:
4x Archbird
4x Wing Dragon Skyptera
3x Sonic Noah

Grade 2:
4x Bombarding Dragon Cannongear
4x Ravenous Dragon Megarex
3x Assault Dragon Blightops

Grade 3:
4x Chaos Dragon Dinochaos
4x Tyrant Death Rex

Also, I set up a Twitter Account to let you guys know if there's any immediate updates in the future, since that'll be easier for me to let you guys know what is going on. Anyway, enjoy!

  1. I dont know why you put Blightops in when you dont have sheldon.... the counterblast does not even do anything.
Megarex Would have been a much better Vanguard in this case

  2. My apologies, i did not see that you sready had megares up there untill later.

Aside from that, all you G3 are VG cards, you dont have good RG G3's....

    Ill show you my Decklist:
    Initial VG:
    Dragon Egg

    Grade 0: #16
    (crit)4x Black Cannon Tiger
    (draw)4x Bombarding Dragon, Sledge Ankylo
    (draw)1x Herbivore Dragon, Brutesaurus
    (stnd)3x Pack Dragon, Tinyrex
    (heal)4x Savage Shaman

    Grade 1: #14
    3x Archbird
    4x Wing Dragon Skyptera
    4x Sonic Noah
    3X Savage Warrior

    Grade 2: #12
    4x Bombarding Dragon Cannongear
    4x Ravenous Dragon Megarex
    2x Savage Destroyer
    2x Vacuum Mammoth

    Grade 3: #7
    2x Ravenous Dragon, Gigarex
    2x Savage King
    3x Tyrant Death Rex

The main strategy of this deck is to first, try to only ride "Death-rex" as your G3 to pressure you opponent with a vanguard with a VG that swings 15k all the time (+ "Skyptera" boost is 21k, unless your opponent is a 13k VG dont boost with Sonic Noa, or you will have problem deciding which to attack first).

than as you go, save up at least 2 ~ 4 soul to use "Savage King's" Soulblast skill to retire your "Dragon Eggs" and "Skyptera" while returning them back to your hand.
As long a you have soul you can keep retiring cards, that is where the "Vaccum Mammoth" and "Sledge Ankylo" comes in, to soulcharge
, you dont need alot, just at least 4~5 soul is enough.

Remember, "Savage King's" Skill last for the turn, so that is wht the stand triggers are for, always attack with "Savage King" first, then try and stand it to attack again with it.

Then the Retiring combo, chains up with the following cards:
Ravenous Dragon, Gigarex (+1k for 1 retire)
    Savage Destroyer(+1k for 1 retire)
Savage Warrior (+1k for 1 retire)

Ideally yur Final turn lineup will be as follow (In attacking Order):
Lets say i used my whole hand and used Savage Kings Skill 3 times(3 soulblast , 3 counterblast), and I played 2 cards ontop of each other to retire the old one, in total i boosted savage kin 6k and retires 5 cards (+5k for gigarex, savage warriro)

    1)RG 23k = Savage King(9k+6k) + Sonic Noa(8k)
    2)VG 21k = Deathrex(15k) + Skyptera(6k)
    3)RG 26k = Gigarex(10k+5k) + Savage Warrior (6k+5k)

it is a 15k, 15k, 20k Guard at least to guard them all, and if you can put savage warrior behing Savage king it will be a 26k RG attacker.
so it is 20k, 15k, 20k guard at least..... to guard it all.

If you did not trigger any stand" trigger that is XD (stands Savage King, attacks for another 20k again XD)

Sorry for the long post...... but yeah... that is my deck list and strategy.

    1. Ah, interesting strategy. Right now, I'm focusing in on fixing up the blog after I wrap up something I need to get done in real life.
