Happy Halloween (short post)

I think it's about time for a Halloween Challenge:
  • For Cardfight!! Vanguard
    • Make a deck that has the main clan being Grand Blue and 1 other clan. (Must be a Hybrid)
  • For Yu-gi-oh!
    • Make a Halloween Zombie deck.
Anyway, sorry for the post not being longer, but I have stuff to take care of in real life.

Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies II - Nova Grappler - Part 2

Picking out a Grade 0 Vanguard:
Pick Blaujunger. More will be explained in the basic strategy.

Basic Strategy:
This strategy involves around the Stern Blaukruger cards. If you have Blaukruger in your soul, you can have Stern Blaukruger at 11000 Power. This isn't what this strategy is about though, it's about timing your Vanguard attack right so that your opponent will be unable to guard, and you'll be able to inflict massive damage.

This typically involves having 4 damage in Damage Zone that is unflipped and 1 Nova Grappler in hand (when you Twin Drive and Drive Check again, that gives you the 4 cards that you need to discard.)

Also, it is similar to this strategy with the chain riding: Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies II - Kagero - Part 2.

Alternative Strategy:
Repeatedly stand your units and get as many attacks as you can. Same as the strategy in Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies II - Nova Grapplers - Part 1.

Guarding:
  • 16 Grade 0 Shields (10000)
  • 11 Grade 1 Shields (5000)
  • 3 Twin Blader
  • 8 Grade 2 Shields/Interceptors (5000)
  • 3 NGM Prototype
Sample Deck List:

Grade 0:

Grade 1:

Grade 2:

Grade 3:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I don't know when I'll be able to hyperlink the cards used in the strategies to the respectful card names, but I'll try to do that soon. Anyway, enjoy!
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies II - Kagero - Part 2
Picking out a Grade 0 Vanguard:
Pick Amber Dragon, Dawn for this strategy. More will be explained later in the Basic Strategy.
Basic Strategy:
There are four cards that you would be using as Vanguard immediately: Amber Dragon, DawnAmber Dragon, Daylight, Amber Dragon, Dusk, and Amber Dragon, Eclipse. If you ride Amber Dragon, Daylight on top of Amber Dragon, Dawn, you get Amber Dragon, Dusk in your Hand. The hardest part is riding to Amber Dragon Daylight and Amber Dragon, Eclipse. If you do not get those two, then this strategy becomes null and void, which means, you would need a Second Strategy for this deck.
Alternative Strategy:
The second strategy would be Superior Riding into Embodiment of Victory, Aleph. Since there’s no Lizard Soldier Conroe in this deck, the odds of getting the pieces in hand are slim, but with the help of Dragon Monk Gojo, the odds increased a bit. What you need to Superior Ride into Embodiment of Victory, Aleph is:
Guarding:
Sample Deck List:
Grade 0:
Grade 1:
Grade 2:
Grade 3:
2x Dragonic Overlord
As a side note, I found out that the Cardfight Vanguard Wikidot moved to a different site altogether, so the hyperlinks in all the old posts before this one have the old link to it. As a result, I'll be fixing up those posts, as much as I can, as quickly as I can. The new site is linked here: http://vanguardtcg.wiki.fc2.com/.
Anyway, enjoy!
Small Update
In accordance to the holiday season coming up (in December), the majority of the posts will be pushed towards Cardfight!! Vanguard, but I'll try to splash in some Yu-gi-oh! posts.
I do not know in what order it'll be or how many posts I'll make of each clan, but here's the clans I'm going to cover over that time span:
  • Royal Paladin
  • Kagero
  • Oracle Think Tank
  • Nova Grappler
  • Grand Blue
  • Spike Brothers
  • Pale Moon
  • Tachikaze
  • Dark Irregulars
  • Shadow Paladins (when they are completed in Pack Set 4)
  • Dimensional Police (when they are completed in Pack Set 4)
I'm not sure if Megacolony is a part of the group that is getting a full clan set in Pack Set 4, but if it is, it'll get a post or posts.
~~~

On the Yu-gi-oh! side of things, there's a few things that I'm going to be taking care of:
  • Crystal Beasts
    • I'm still going to be testing through them, and seeing if there's any more better outs. Right now, I'm doubting the use of Rare Value in the deck itself. If there is a complete revision (again), I'll post it.
  • Ninjas
    • Started using this deck recently. I'll make a post about it at a later date.

Yu-gi-oh! Deck Discussion - Crystal Beast II and Yu-gi-oh! Deck Explanation - Gishki and Crystal Beasts

To fix my mistake (in Crystal Beast I), I already came up with a new build for Crystal Beasts that gets rid of that mistake. Anyway, enjoy!

2x Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth
2x Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat
2x Crystal Beast Colbalt Eagle
2x Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise
2x Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle
2x Crystal Beast Sapphire Peggasus
2x Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger
2x Rainbow Dragon
2x Summoner Monk

Dark Hole
Monster Reborn
2x Mystical Space Typhoon
3x Crystal Abundance
3x Crystal Blessing
3x Crystal Release
3x Crystal Beacon

2x Crystal Pair
3x Starlight Road

Extra Deck:
3x Stardust Dragon
Daigusto Emeral
Evigishki Merrowgeist
3x Lavalval Chain
Leviair the Sea Dragon
Number 39: Utopia
Steelswarm Roach
Wind-Up Zenmaines
Number 30: Acid Golem the Destruction
Number 17: Levaithan Dragon
Number 20: Gig-Anto Brill-Ant

The main problem I had before was that I was stuck with barely any Crystal Beasts as Continuous Spell Cards, so I tried to avoid the cards that has the requirements of Crystal Beasts required in the Spell/Trap Zones. It's why I was going for searches, but I didn't notice that error on my part, and I apologize for that. So, I began to look for easy ways to search, and came across such cards as Key Mouse (which is no longer in this deck, because I stopped worrying about easy searches and focused more on protecting my cards).

~~~~~~~~~~
Yu-gi-oh! Deck Explanation - Gishki:
  • Main Concept: Ritual Spam.
  • Why is Deep Sea Diva in here?: Because it can search out Vision Gishki for either a Level 4 Synchro Summon, Rank 2 Xyz Summoning, or sacrificing Vision Gishki for a Ritual Summon. Also, the more I get into the Graveyard, the more targets I may have with Salvage.
  • Main Problem: The only problem I have encountered with the Gishki deck is not being able to get the Ritual Spell Card I need in the hand for the Ritual Summoning. I'll be finding out ways to fix that part, but other than that, there's not much I can do about it.
Yu-gi-oh! Deck Discussion - Crystal Beasts I
After a little bit, it made more sense to go back to this template, since it was beginning to be too much of a hassle trying to make it a bit more darker. Anyway, feel free to discuss about it.
Reason why I changed it:
During the process of making it darker, I came across a problem which caused the text to blend a bit much, and with the shade going from white to black, it wasn't helping the situation much either. So I reverted back to the old template, but I kept the outer background from that template to this one.
EDIT: This deck has been scrapped, but the Deck Explanation is still valid. A new version of this deck will be shown after I do the Deck Explanation.
Yu-gi-oh! Deck Explanation - Space-Time Police
There are two main strategies to this deck: Getting out a Rank 5 Xyz or Rank 3 Xyz; however, there are some problems with this deck. First off, the strategies are simple:
  • Teleport: Use in combination with a monster card to get a Rank 3 or Rank 5 Xyz monster onto your Field
    • Main Problem: It becomes a necessity for this card to be in this deck, which means, at times, it can be a dead card at times, not to mention “Paying 800 Life Points” is not favorable in this format.
  • Overdrive Teleporter: Use to quickly get a Rank 3 Xyz monster onto your Field
    • Main Problem: Paying Life Points this format is terrible, and this format more depends on keeping every single Life Point and making sure your "backrow" comes from your Hand.
  • Brain Hazard: Use in combination with Psi-Beast to get a Rank 3 or Rank 5 Xyz monster onto your Field
    • Main Problem: Too many cards used in this combination, leaving you at a disadvantage. The advantage is that majority of the Rank 5 Xyzs try to balance it out by destroying stuff on your opponent’s Field.
The main problem I came across while testing is when my opponent decides to wreck my field, I have no back-up plan…at all. I may work on this a bit more to fix the main problem(s) in this deck. Thoughts, comments, discuss, and suggestions. Anyway, enjoy!
Looks like I'll keep this one. Anyway, thank you for voting. (No comments were submitted, so there's not much to talk about there.)
If you notice anything,...(very short post)
...I'm going to be experimenting on a few templates and see what I like from them. So, expect something random.
Next post will be Yu-gi-oh! Deck Explanation - Space-Time Police. That is when I'll reveal some flaws I experienced, as well as, how well it did on how it drew.
EDIT: So, how's the new design? Comment, thoughts, discuss, or vote.
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies II - Royal Paladins - Part 3
Picking out a Grade 0 Vanguard:
For this strategy, any Vanilla Grade 0 would do, but in the Sample Deck List, I picked Grime.
Strategy:
For this strategy, the main focus is to get off Soul Saver Dragon's Soul Blast. Since Royal Paladin's typical starter is banned during tourneys, getting cards to Soul shouldn't be difficult regardless. Some cards you can use are as follows:
Some cares that you can use to call out some Rear Guards to assist you in this would be:
Sample Deck List:
Grade 0:
4x Margal
3x Giro
Grade 1:
4x Pongal
Grade 2:
Grade 3:
Yu-gi-oh! Card Discussion - Space-Time Police
(uploaded from Yu-gi-oh! Wikia)
Space-Time Police
*****   Attribute: Wind
[Psychic/Effect]
When this card is Special Summoned: Target 1 face-up card your opponent controls; banish that target. When this card leaves the field: Set the card that was banished by this effect to your opponent's side of the Field.
ATK: 2300  DEF: 1500
There's two ways to Special Summon this card easily without the use of Monster Reborn and Call of the Haunted and those are: Teleport and Brain Hazard. Teleport lets you Special Summon it from your Hand just like Valhalla for Fairies, except you have to pay 800 Life Points. Brain Hazard is the "Special Summon from the Banished pile" Continuous Trap Card. To abuse his effect, you use the Exceed Summoning method which avoids "When this card leaves the field" effect.
So the main idea is:
Space-Time Police + Psi-Beast = Level 5 Xyz
Comments, thoughts, or discuss. Enjoy!
