Cardfight!! Vanguard - Card Discussion - Dragonic Waterfowl

Well, I'm going to be doing something different this time. For Cardfight!! Vanguard, I'll be doing a few card reviews before going into the "Strategy II" of the clan, (minus Royal Paladins, since I needed to get those out as soon as possible, because of the Barkgal ban. Then, I go into a Yu-gi-oh! strategy of what decks I wanted to build earlier, then discuss the flow of the strategy of the deck. This is how the line up is going to look.
  • Cardfight!! Vanguard Card Discussion(s)
  • Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies II
  • Yu-gi-oh! Deck List
  • Yu-gi-oh! Strategies Discussion
So, let's get this started.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Grade 3 - Kagero - Tear Dragon
Twin Drive Check!! - When this unit Drive Checks, Drive Check twice.
Auto(V): - When this unit attacks a Vanguard, during that battle, this unit gains +3000 Power.
Auto(V): (Choose 1 Grade 3 card from your Hand, and discard it.) When this unit attacks, you may pay this cost. If so, for that battle, this unit gains +10000 Power.
Power: 10000     Critical: +1
Cons:
  • When this card is called to a Rear Guard, it's just a 10000 beater.
Pros:
  • When this card is called to a Vanguard, if you have a booster with 7000 or more power, you can easily make your opponent waste two Shields, and if you discard a Grade 3, a potential 3 or 4 Shields.
  • Since it's in the Vanguard position with it's effect, they could potentially waste Shields if your opponent tries to Guard it if you get enough Triggers to break through and damage their Vanguard.
Anyway, for this, I wouldn't bother blocking if your opponent decides to use the effect, because 1 Damage is 1 Damage, and the luck factor would depend on your opponent Drive Checking a Critical Trigger. Otherwise, if you are at 5 damage, you become pinned and have to guard -everything-.
Few comments...
Well, since it's nearing the end of the month, I might as well ask some questions that come up, recently.
Why did you make "The Basics" section in the Cardfight!! Vanguard Tutorial?
The majority of the people are busy and are unable to watch the anime. For example, to learn "The Basics" in Cardfight!! Vanguard, you would have to watch the first five episodes of the Cardfight!! Vanguard anime. Which is safely to say if no one explains what's going on, they would not be able to enjoy the game, and then, they would quit. With "The Basics" up, person can understand the game by how long it takes them to read the posts I made.
Also, another thing I noticed is that when people watch the anime to learn the game, people drive check twice, then assign the triggers power. This is not how you do it. If you drive check twice, and get a trigger on the first check, you assign the value, then you do the second drive check.
Why haven't you made more "Strategy II" posts?
It's due to the fact that I was catching up on Yu-gi-oh! posts, but I needed to do at least the Royal Paladins Strategy II posts, because of the Barcgal ban as Starting Vanguard. I'll be catching up on Cardfight!! Vanguard posts in September.
Why haven't you ranted about how the Yu-gi-oh! TCG has gotten?
No point to do so. What I noticed is that Yu-gi-oh! is just a card game, same with Magic the Gathering, Cardfight!! Vanguard, and Pokemon. Hence why I divided my focus between Yu-gi-oh! and Cardfight!! Vanguard, and that's why I take breaks for either from time to time so that I don't get tired of playing one single game. If I get tired of Yu-gi-oh!, I play Cardfight!! Vanguard. If I get tired of Cardfight!! Vanguard, I play Yu-gi-oh!.
Why are you sticking to 15 posts per month?
Personal quota. It doesn't mean anything if I go less than 15 or more than 15, I just want to have something consistent going, so that people know that you can expect 15 posts per month.
What is your user name on Pojo?
Let's make this into a challenge. I want you to find out what is my user name on Pojo, and the hint is:
  • One word on this blog gives a big indication on my user name on Pojo.
Anyway, happy hunting~
Tour of the Dark World (September 2011 Format)
Yeah, I've been building a Tour Guide deck with Dark World for a little bit on Dueling Network. So, here's the deck list:
3x Grapha, Dragon God of Dark World
2x Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World
2x Sillva, Warlord of Dark World
3x Broww, Huntsman of Dark World
3x Snow, Mage of Dark World
3x Fabled Raven
3x Tour Guide From the Underworld
Morphing Jar
Monster Reborn
Card Destruction
Dark Hole
Heavy Storm
2x Mystical Space Typhoon
2x Gateway to Dark World
2x Terraforming
3x Gate of the Dark World
Torrential Tribute
Mirror Force
2x Call of the Haunted
3x Dark Deal
Extra Deck
Magical Android
Ally of Justice Catastor
T.G. Hyper Librarian
Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
Heavenly Wolf King Blue Sirius
Black Rose Dragon
Ancient Fairy Dragon
Stardust Dragon
Red Dragon Archfiend
Scrap Dragon
3x Leviair the Sea Dragon
2x Steelswarm Roach
Also, I'm considering dropping one Tour Guide of the Underworld for Sangan, but I'm not sure at the moment. Anyway, to answer some questions for you:
Why are you running Dark Deal?
It's because I was thinking about how much my opponent depends on Spell Cards like Terraforming, Monster Reborn, Heavy Storm, Dark Hole, and others. It becomes a good out if you want to waste their spell card, pay 1000 Life Points, and being able to use one of your Dark World effects, which can give you an advantage.
Why did you put Tour Guide of the Underworld in this deck and not in your Chaotic Lightsworn deck?
It is due to the fact that I only use it when it'll help me in the long run with Fiend monsters. I know it works with Sangan with that, but I'm use to OCG rulings of Xyzs with Sangan not getting the effect. Such decks that I would put in Tour Guide of the Underworld in would be the following:
  • Dark World
  • Fabled
Any other deck splashing Tour Guide for Sangan is not worth it, because when the TCG impliment the OCG rulings on Xyzs, that thought process will be for naught. Anyway, in regards to this, I'll explain why I have it in this deck:
You have Grapha, Dragon God of Dark World in your Graveyard.
You Normal Summon Tour Guide of the Underworld, and you Special Summon Broww, Huntsman of Dark World from your Deck to your side of the Field.
Two options can exist with this:
  • Option 1: You can Xyz into Leviair the Sea Dragon and Special Summon 1 Dark World monster from your Removed from Game pile to your side of the Field, then return the Special Summoned Dark World monster to Special Summon Grapha, Dragon God of Dark World from your Graveyard.
  • Option 2: You can return Broww, Huntsman of Dark World from your Field to your Hand to Special Summon Grapha, Dragon God of Dark World from your Graveyard, then use Gate of Dark World, remove a Fiend monster from your Graveyard, discard Broww, Huntsman of Dark World from your Hand, then draw 2 cards from your Deck.
Anyway, rate, fix, comment, thoughts, questions, or discuss. Enjoy!
Something I noticed...
Well, with the limitation of Pot of Avarice in September 2011 Ban List, I came across an idea. What if, instead of recycling the monsters from the Graveyard using Pot of Avarice, we use this:
(This picture came from Yu-gi-oh! Wikia)
Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord
**********  Attribute: Dark
[Spellcaster/Effect]
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by returning all monsters from your Graveyard to your Deck. When this card declares an attack, send 1 monster from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard. This card has 1000 ATK for each Normal Monster in your Graveyard. When this card is removed from the field, remove it from play. If there are 5 different "Forbidden One" cards in your Graveyard that were sent there by this card's effect, you win the Duel.
ATK: ?           DEF: 0
Well, you can Special Summon this card and return your precious engine to your Deck so that you could use the said engine more. Such cards are used and in the Graveyard usually are Reborn Tengu and Tour Guide of the Underworld. Just another DARK monster that you could use with Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning and Chaos Sorcerer.
Yu-gi-oh! Deck List - Chaotic Lightsworn II (September 2011 Format)
Since the other deck had the idea, but I didn't have the right thought process for it, I decided to do another post on it. Anyway, here's the UPDATED list for it:
3x Judgment Dragon
Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
3x Chaos Sorcerer
Ehren, Lightsworn Monk
Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior
Jain, Lightsworn Paladin
Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress
Wulf, Lightsworn Beast
Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner
Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter
2x Necro Guardna
Plaguespreader Zombie
3x Spirit Reaper
2x Summoner Monk
Allure of Darkness
Book of Moon
Burial from a Different Dimension
Charge of the Light Brigade
Dark Hole
Foolish Burial
Heavy Storm
Monster Reborn
3x Monster Reincarnation
Pot of Avarice
Reinforcement of the Army
3x Solar Recharge
Trap Dustshoot
Torrential Tribute
Okay, for a small explanation, disregarding the one Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning and the one Chaos Sorcerer, you have 10 Lights and 10 Darks (if you don't use the Plaguespreader for something else and the Necro Gardnas for defending).
As for the Extra Deck,...
Extra Deck:
2x Ally of Justice Catastor
Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
2x Heavenly Wolf King Blue Sirius
2x Black Rose Dragon
2x Stardust Dragon
3x Steelswarn Roach
3x Number 39: Utopia
With the Extra Deck, you have 7 Darks and 3 Lights. Hence why Summoner Monk is in it. If you Xyz into Steelswarn Roach, you have 2 Darks and 1 Light in your Graveyard once Steelswarn Roach is destroyed. If you Xyz into Number 39: Utopia, you have 2 Lights and 1 Dark in your Graveyard once Number 39: Utopia is in your Graveyard.
Anyway, rate, fix, discuss, thoughts, and comments. Enjoy!
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies II - Royal Paladins - Part 2
If you are still interested in Yu-gi-oh! Deck List - Chaotic Lightsworn, go here.
~~~~~~~~~~

Picking out a Grade 0 Vanguard:
Pick Dorangal. This card gives you a hand to get a Grade 1 easier on the first turn, which is what you need for this deck.

Past Discussion:
If you recall Strategy II Part 1, the same strategy also applies to here, except you are focusing on Dorangal and Knight of Quests, Galahad only. If you want to look at the strategy, go here.

Treating Barcgal as a Grade 2:
Since Barcgal is banned from Starting Vanguard position, another alternative thought can come into play: “Treating Barcgal as a Grade 2”. With its effect to bring out Flogal and Future Knight, Llew, it’s an alternative way to bring out Blaster Blade. So, instead of wasting room for a 5k Shield Grade 2 attacker, you can have a 10k Grade 0 Shield/Searcher to bring out boosters for your cards so that you minimize the loss of cards.

Other Strategy:
Other than that, it’s the same strategy (with the addition of Swordsman of the Explosive Flames, Palamedes and with the subtraction of Gigantic Charger) as before in Strategy I. If you want to view that strategy, go here.

Guarding:
Guardians are as follows:
Sample Deck List:

Grade 0:
4x Flogal
4x Barcgal
Dorangal

Grade 1:
4x Lake Maiden Lien
4x Knight of Quests, Galahad
4x Flash Shield, Iseult

Grade 2:
3x Blaster Blade
4x Knight of Truth, Gordon

Grade 3:
4x Crimson Butterfly Brigitte
3x Knight of Conviction, Bors
3x Swordsman of the Explosive Flames, Palamedes

Yu-gi-oh! Deck List - Chaotic Lightsworn (September 2011 Format)

Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
3x Chaos Sorcerer
Ehren, Lightsworn Monk
Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior
2x Jain, Lightsworn Paladin
3x Judgment Dragon
Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress
2x Necro Gardna
Plaguespreader Zombie
2x Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter
2x Summoner Monk
2x Tragoedia

Allure of Darkness
Book of Moon
Burial from a Different Dimension
Charge of the Light Brigade
Dark Hole
Foolish Burial
Heavy Storm
Monster Reborn
3x Monster Reincarnation
3x Mystical Space Typhoon
Pot of Avarice
Primal Seed
Reinforcement of the Army
3x Solar Recharge

Trap Dustshoot

Extra Deck

3x Ally of Justice Catastor
3x Armory Arm
3x Black Rose Dragon
Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
2x Iron Chain Dragon
3x Stardust Dragon

Seems pretty self-explanatory. Anyway, rate, fix, thoughts, comment, or discuss. Enjoy!

EDIT: Made some edits to this deck. The subtractions are as follows:
  • -2 Celestia, Lightsworn Angel
  • -1 Ehren, Lightsworn Monk
  • -1 Zephyros the Elite
  • -1 Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress
The additions are as follows:
  • +2 Summoner Monk
  • +1 Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior
  • +2 Jain, Lightsworn Paladin
  • +1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
  • +2 Tragoedia

Cardfight!! Vanguard - Strategies II - Royal Paladins - Part 1

Picking out a Grade 0 Vanguard:
Pick Dorangal. With Barcgal being banned in the Vanguard Position, this is the alternative. By revealing the top 5 cards, and if Knight of Quests, Galahad is among the 5 cards, you ride it and return the rest of the cards to the bottom of the Deck, and you cannot ride if you Superior Ride Knight of Quests, Galahad. If no Knight of Quests, Galahad is among the 5 cards, you can return the 5 cards to the bottom of the Deck. Please note that you can return these cards in any order you choose.

Strategy “Controlling the flow of Luck”:
Well, I’ll say this in each stage, so that you’ll understand what’s going on.

Stage 1: Drawing Galahad grades in your opening hand:
With Galahad now becoming the main focus of this deck, you need to decide on a few things, like “What is the possibility of getting each piece in your Opening Hand?” Now then, let’s separate it into each piece:

Without Mulligan: 1 - (46/50)(45/49)(44/48)(43/47)(42/46) = 35% Chance
Mulligan (1 card): 1 - (42/46) = 8.6% Chance
Mulligan (2 cards): 1 - (43/47)(42/46) = 16.4% Chance
Mulligan (3 cards): 1 - (44/48)(43/47)(42/46) = 23.4% Chance
Mulligan (4 cards): 1 - (45/49)(44/48)(43/47)(42/46) = 29.6% Chance
Mulligan (5 cards): 1 - (46/50)(45/49)(44/48)(43/47)(42/46) = 35% Chance
First Turn: 1 - (41/45)(40/44)(39/43)(38/42)(37/41)(36/40) = 44.8% Chance

Essentially, you should have a good chance of getting Knight of Quests, Galahad on the first turn to ride, so you would be able to get to Grade 1 without wasting a card.

Without Mulligan: 1 - (46/50)(45/49)(44/48)(43/47)(42/46) = 35% Chance
Mulligan (1 card): 1 - (42/46) = 8.6% Chance
Mulligan (2 cards): 1 - (43/47)(42/46) = 16.4% Chance
Mulligan (3 cards): 1 - (44/48)(43/47)(42/46) = 23.4% Chance
Mulligan (4 cards): 1 - (45/49)(44/48)(43/47)(42/46) = 29.6% Chance
Mulligan (5 cards): 1 - (46/50)(45/49)(44/48)(43/47)(42/46) = 35% Chance

With this, you have a good chance that you won’t get Knight of Trials, Galahad or Knight of Godspeed, Galahad in your opening hand.

Stage 2: Unable to get Knight of Quests, Galahad:
Alright, so 5 cards went down to the bottom, and you decided to regular ride a Grade 1, so that you don’t fall to a disadvantage against your opponent; however, let me ask you this: “What if the 5 cards that you send to the bottom can help you determine what you get, in a general sense?” For the example, the 5 cards shown would be this: Future Knight, Llew, Future Knight, Llew, Transporter of Good Luck, Epona, Transporter of Good Luck, Epona, Knight of Godspeed, Galahad. Here’s something I notice if you haven’t:

Drive Checking: 1 – (27/39) = 30% Chance of getting a Trigger

Drawing for next turn:
Grade 0: 1 – (26/38) = 31.5% Chance of getting a Grade 0
Grade 1: 1 – (24/38) = 36.8% Chance of getting a Grade 1
Grade 2: 1 – (27/38) = 28.9% Chance of getting a Grade 2
Grade 3: 1 – (31/38) = 18.4% Chance of getting a Grade 3

Stage 3: With getting Knight of Quests, Galahad and other Stages
With the understanding of how everything’s been, I’ll state it simply: the way to measure this luck is under a simple understanding of it, really.

1 - ((number of cards in deck - number of ways to get that card out)/(number of cards in deck))

By calculating the chance, you can always figure out your next logical move.

Alternative Grade 3s:
As I said in the past Strategy session, the other 2 aces in the deck would be King of Knights, Alfred and Soul Saver Dragon. If you want to read more about the past strategy, go here.

Guarding:
Instead of rambling on about the shields and that, I’ll just list them below:

Sample Deck List:

Grade 0:
4x Future Knight, Llew
4x Transporter of Good Fortune, Epona
4x Alabaster Owl
4x Yggdrasil Maiden, Elaine
Dorangal

Grade 1:
4x Lake Maiden, Lien
4x Knight of Quests, Galahad
3x Pongal
3x Flash Shield Iseult

Grade 2:
3x Blaster Blade
4x Knight of Truth, Gordon
4x Knight of Trials, Galahad

Grade 3:
4x Knight of Godspeed, Galahad
2x King of Knights, Alfred
2x Soul Saver Dragon

~~~
Now then, what would the similarity of Yu-gi-oh! and Cardfight!! Vanguard be? Anyway, I was preparing this, beforehand, without any Yu-gi-oh! decks ready, so I put this up first. Anyway, enjoy!
OCG Ban List - September 2011
Well, since I won't be the only one posting about this, I may as well state my thoughts. Anyway, here's the list:
Forbidden:
Fishborg Blaster
Mind Master
Giant Trunade
Royal Oppression
Limited:
Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
Debris Dragon
Lonefire Blossom
Formula Synchron
Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En
T.G. Hyper Librarian
Heavy Storm
Pot of Avarice
Primal Seed
Shien's Smoke Signal
Semi-Limited:
Necro Gardna
Tragoedia
Summoner Monk
Destiny Draw
Swords of Revealing Light
Call of the Haunted
Mind Crush
Unlimited:
Judgment Dragon
Spirit Reaper
Megamorph
Mystical Space Typhoon
Overload Fusion
Gravity Bind
Icarus Attack
My thoughts on this personally is that Twilight is gonna be back, along with Dark World. People can use Dark World variants with Fabled splashed in to have Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning in the Deck. Decks got hit were the Plant Engine, Synchro Decks, and Six Samurai decks.
With this, I'll state what I'm going to build as Yu-gi-oh! decks:
Any Light & Dark Variants that I take interest in (which include Dark World/Fabled)
Ice Barriers, Vylons, Elecs,
Gladiator Beasts,
Merchant Turbo (again, to recount from this ban list)
Monday, August 15, 2011
Just some thoughts...
First off, if you guys are wondering why I haven't been posting as of late, it is because I'm waiting on the ban list to be released. If that happens, I can adjust to that, and crank out as many decks as I can, but I may pull some Cardfight!! Vanguard decks from when I'm going to post them to earlier if I'm going to be impatient.
I have 6 deck ideas lined up, but I'm more concerned on waiting. If something gets banned and everything gets thrown out of the loop, then the deck becomes dead, and I don't want that to happen.
Organizing, Thoughts, and adding my Youtube channel on the bottom
Anyway, I've been organizing and I've decided to re-write a few of the labels, and add a small section that'll make sure you'll know about the Cardfight!! Vanguard section I've been doing. So, I'll point out a few things:
  • The Cardfight!! Vanguard section: The label with have "Cardfight Vanguard" in the name, and it'll be shown on the sidebar. For example, for The Basics, I have "Cardfight Vanguard - "The Basics"".
  • Any label before I started the Vanguard section, and if it's Yu-gi-oh! related, has the addition Yu-gi-oh added to the label.
With this, I'll be able to label all my posts, so that you'll have an easier time navigating my blog.
As for the Hybrid Strategies, I may have to do a second session of the Purebred Strategies so that section becomes updated with Deck Lists and new strategies for you from Tackikaze, Pale Moon, and Dark Irregulars, as well as, decide for myself on how to set up the Hybrid Strategies.
So far, I'm thinking of doing this for Hybrid Strategies, so far:
  • One trigger variant decks.
    • As I mean, one variant. I mean 16 Triggers of either Critical Trigger, Stand Trigger, or Draw Trigger. Obviously, there's going to be a strategy behind it, and the majority of these decks will be 2 clans or more.
Other than that, I'll think about other things to do, but it's a good basis to start off with.
Also, I've added a Youtube bar on the bottom of this blog. If anyone wants to view any of my recording, you can watch them. In regards to that, this is my Youtube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/DangerDeceition
Anyway, if you have any suggestions to the Hybrid Strategies section, let me know.
Card Discussion - Photon Shockwave - Part 5
Alright, here's Part 5 of the 3 card reviews of Photon Shockwave: (The cards are shown below are from Shriek, so if you want to read through the set, go here.)
Black Ray Lancer
Rank: 3   Attribute: Dark
[Beast-Warrior/Xyz/Effect]
2x Level 3 WATER Monster
Once per turn, you can remove 1 of this card's Exceeds Material Monsters to select 1 face-up Monster on the Field. That selected monster hast its effect(s) negated until the End Phase.
ATK: 2100  DEF: 600
Evolkaiser Ragia
Rank: 4   Attribute: Fire
[Dragon/Xyz/Effect]
2x Level 4 Dinosaur-Type Monster
Activate by removing 2 of this card's Exceeds Material Monsters. Negate the activation of a Magic or Trap Card, OR the Normal Summon or Special Summon of a Monster and destroy it.
ATK: 2400  DEF: 2000
With these two Xyz monsters, they can be easily added to a Rescue Rabbit deck, since there are some Level 3 Water Monsters, and some Level 4 Dinosaur monsters. Just a thought when you need to focus on negating some effects to get through an attack or two with Xyzs.
Regretful Complaint
[Normal Trap Card]
Activate only if you take Battle Damage from an opponent's monster attacking directly. Gain control over the face-up opponent's monster with the highest DEF until your next End Phase. The monster you gained control over by this effect has its effect(s) negated and cannot attack.
When you take a direct hit from a monster, you can use this card to take control of an opponent's monster. Good to use with Synchro Summoning and Exceed Summoning. Just something that you can tech, if you are very prone to direct attacks.
~~~

Well, I'm not sure if I'm going to do some more Card Discussions over Photon Shockwave. Anyway, if I don't, you can look through the set by clicking here.

Card Discussion - Photon Shockwave - Part 4

Alright, here's Part 4 of the 3 card reviews of Photon Shockwave: (The cards are shown below are from Shriek, so if you want to read through the set, go here.)

Elec King Cobra
****   Attribute: LIGHT
[Thunder/Effect]
This card can attack your opponent directly. When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points by attacking directly, add 1 "Elec" Monster from your Deck to your hand.
ATK: 1000   DEF: 500

Very good card with Elecs. And with the indirect support that came with the set, I think Elecs got a great boost from it. For example, Burning Fighting Spirit can double this card's ATK to 2000, and have this monster attack directly, or if your opponent attacks, you can use Photonize to give this card the opponent's monster's ATK, then have it attack directly. Very interesting, indeed.

Naturia Maron
***   Attribute: Earth
[Plant/Effect]
When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, you can send 1 "Naturia" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. Also, once per turn, by selecting 2 "Naturia" monsters in your Graveyard, and shuffling them back to your Deck, you can draw 1 card.
ATK: 1200   DEF: 700

Very good support card for Naturia Pineapple. Makes sure that if you want to run Bambooshoot in a Plant based build, it's plausable.

Killer Frilled Shark
***   Attribute: Water
[Fish/Effect]
When a face-up Fish, Sea-Serpent, or Aqua-Type Monster you control is selected as an attack target, activate by removing from play this card in your Graveyard. Negate the attack of that attacking monster, and until your next End Phase, it loses 500 ATK. The effect of "Killer Frilled Shark" can only be used once per turn.
ATK: 700   DEF: 1500

If you need to hold out for a turn, just in case, Fish Turn Kill backfires, you can negate an attack with this card, which you can make sure to survive a turn, so that you can finish off your opponent next turn. Just a thought though, not sure if you would be interested enough to try it, though.

If nothing else, you can use it to protect your Gishki monsters from being destroyed.

Been doing a few things...

Anyway, I've been doing something along the lines of fixing up the 3 decks that got nailed by the Barcgal being banned as Starting Vanguard. Those decks will be updated at the end of this month.

Another thing I was able to do is this:

Yep, I'm trying to get better at making Cardfight!! Vanguard videos, so if you have any suggestions on how to make it better, let me know.

As for Yu-gi-oh!, I'm thinking about doing some more parts of the 3 card reviews of Photon Shockwave. Please note that I will not being doing the entire set. Also, I'll be doing some Yu-gi-oh! deck lists soon.

Anyway, feel free to discuss about the video, how I can improve it, and I'll see what I can do. Anyway, enjoy!

Starting September and Yu-gi-oh! Ban List hopes

Well, normally I wouldn't take a look at how everyone's going to say whatever's going to happen to the Yu-gi-oh! Ban List as their hopes, but I have to state something that I found out very recently in Cardfight!! Vanguard.
  • Starting September, Barcgal cannot be selected as your Starting Vanguard.
So, with that said, I need to go through the Royal Paladin guides I set up, and rehash on how the builds are set up, because all of them have Barcgal as your Starting Vanguard.

As for Yu-gi-oh! expectations, I do have a few: (listed below)
  • Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning will go back to 1.
  • Necrovalley will become limited, because of how Gravekeepers use Royal Tribute, and how Deck Devastation Virus works with the deck.
  • Dewlorean will become semi-limited, because of the Symbols loop it has.
  • Bottomless Trap Hole will become unlimited, because there wasn't a point of it being semi-limited, other than the fact that probably most of the people at the time were using Bottomless Trap Hole as a chainable Trap to cards that destroy stuff (as a priority).
Other than that, I know more stuff will be hit, but I'm not that good with predictions. I just state what I thought should happen. Anyway, feel free to discuss about how Barcgal's restriction from the Starting Vanguard position affects your Deck, or how my Ban List hopes are.
