Happy Halloween! (short post)

Well, I think it's time for a short post for once.

"From the darkness stemming from your heart, will you feel the chill of your heart slowly increase dramatically as each day passes?"

I wanted to ask you this: Have you ever felt like having fun with other truly made you happy? So, my suggestion is, to actually find that one thing that truly makes you happy, and do it. Regardless, Happy Halloween! I know it's a bit early, but I'm going to be focusing on other things on the 31st, so I thought it might be time to take care of the post early. See you all in November.

Updates and Answer to Duel Puzzle #1

I updated the "What if?" X-Saber deck. For some reason, I thought I threw a Level 3 or lower Beast in there. Guess I didn't.

~~

~~

Please do not read below if you haven't completed the puzzle:

~~~~~~~~
The two answers I heard were this:
Answer #1: (which I'm not sure about because Arms Hole's last sentence)
Normal Summon Breaker the Magical Warrior to break Royal Decree.
Flip Old Vindictive Magician to destroy Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.
Opponent chained with De-Fusion and you chain with Magic Jammer discarding Black Rose Witch.
Use Arms Hole to mill Pot of Duality, get Megamorph.
Monster Reborn Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.
Equip Megamorph and attach it to Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.
Attack directly. (8000 direct attack damage)
~~~

Two things I notice while a person pointed this out:

1) I wasn't sure that Arms Hole worked that way because the last sentence states "If you activate this card's effect, you cannot Normal Summon this turn." So, in essence, I assumed that you can't Normal Summon this turn.

2) If people thought of the easy way with this, and just stopped, then you need to question yourself on one thing: "Do you go straight forward with your decks and control your opponent to no return, making sure that you don't get screwed by your opponent, or do you prefer to have fun and enjoy creating situations?"

~~~
Answer #2: (My given answer)
Use Hand Destruction to send Black Rose Witch and Mist Valley Soldier and draw 2 cards, while your opponent sends Nova Summoner and Pot of Avarice to get 2 LIGHT monsters with 1700 total ATK.
Monster Reborn Mist Valley Soldier.
Use Arms Hole, milling Lightsworn Beast Wolf, to get Megamorph.
Tune Mist Valley Soldier with Lightsworn Beast, Wulf and Old Vindictive Magician for Ally of Justice Decisive Armor.
Equip Megamorph and attach it to Ally of Jusice Decisive Armor
Use Ally of Justice Decisive Armor's effect and attack Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon for game. (2100+1000+2100+1700+1100=8000)
The reason why I put this up is because I'm considering doing a card discussion on Ally of Justice Decisive Armor, which sparks some interest in my eyes.
~~~

I'm trying at the very least to get mroe people to ask questions and comment on some of my posts. Hence why I was curious and checked throughout the day. Anyway, regardless, here's the answer.

Duel Puzzle #1

Your Life Points: 100 Life Points
Your opponent's Life Points: 8000 Life Points

On your side of the Field, you have...

On your opponent's side of the Field, you have:
A Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon in ATK position.
A face-down Spell and Trap Card (De-Fusion) and a face-up Royal Decree.

You have no Graveyard.

In your opponent's Graveyard, you have the following:
- Blue-Eyes White Dragon
- Blue-Eyes White Dragon
- Blue-Eyes White Dragon
- Polymerization
- Shining Angel
- Shining Angel
- Shining Angel
- Kaibaman

In your Hand, you have the following:
- Breaker the Magical Warrior
- Hidden Armory
- Monster Reborn
- Black Rose Witch
- Mist Valley Soldier
- Hand Destruction

In your opponent's hand, you have the following:
- Honest
- Nova Summoner
- Pot of Avarice
- Cyber Dragon
- The Light-Hex Sealed Fusion

The next two cards off the top of your Deck are: Pot of Duality and Torrential Tribute

It's your Main Phase. Bring your opponent's Life Points to 0. You have to win this turn. You can use whatever Synchro that is still legal in this puzzle and whatever card that you milled or card that you get from Arms Hole that is still legal in this puzzle.

~~~
Yes, I started off with an easy puzzle for you all, since I want to get use to making these puzzles. Hopefully, I can make them more harder in the future. Leave a comment if you want to leave an answer for the puzzle. Other than that, enjoy!
EDIT: There's at least 2 answers to this Puzzle. Have fun.
Additions to the "What if?" list
A few additions are needed to be made to the "What if?" list that I showed concern in, namely because it sparked some interest.
  • Fabled (Regular, with Dark World, with Infernity, with both)
Addition:
  • X-Sabers (I already done this, but I didn't notice it on the list until just now)
Comments:
In regards to my lack of posting, I've been busy with other tasks, so I haven't been paying much attention to anything, however, I'll be able to post some more before the month is up. Anyway, enjoy.
Skull Servants Deck
3x King of Skull Servants
3x The Lady in Wight
3x Wightmare
3x Magical Merchant
2x Dark Grepher
2x Armageddon Knight
3x Mystic Tomato
2x Zombie Master
Mezuki
Monster Reborn
Card Destruction
Foolish Burial
2x Pot of Avarice
2x Book of Moon
3x Book of Life
Call of the Haunted
Torrential Tribute
2x Trap Stun
2x Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
2x Desperate Treasure
~~~

Pretty simple, eh? Wolf in Sheep's Clothing is in there because King of Skull Servants is a Level 1 monster. Regardless, enjoy.

EDIT (10/22/2010): After a comment, I reconstructed the deck to reshape it.

Edits:
- 2 Escape from the Dark Dimension
- 1 Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
- 1 Desperate Treasure
- 2 Dust Tornados

+ 2 Zombie Master
+ 1 Mezuki
+ 1 Foolish Burial
+ 2 Trap Stun

Reason for changes: The deck was too focused and clogged up the hand filled with cards that I didn't want at the time. However, I'm able to defend myself, but when you don't get something for so long, it becomes old fast. Hence, the changes.

It's time for a resolve...

"Where fighting is not enough, sometimes, it is better to jump into the fire to destroy it from within."

Under a specific "what if", I will make the following decks:
  • Blackwings (Regular and Stun variants)
  • Lightsworn (Regular)
  • Gladiator Beasts (Regular)
  • Infernities (Regular, with Fabled, with Dark World, with both)
  • Dragunities (Regular, Merchant, Cyberdark)
  • Flamvells (Regular, Merchant)
  • Fabled (Regular, with Dark World, with Infernity, with both)
And also, I'll post the following:
  • Card Discussion: Skull Servant (family)
  • Card Discussion: Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
  • Making a Skull Servant deck
Any requests that I could do, you can comment with a suggestion.

Something I noticed...

Internet link that sparked this: http://decsilentenigmayt.blogspot.com/2010/10/this-game-is-going-to-shit.html

Discussion:
Whenever I notice around an online Yu-gi-oh! game where nothing is at stake, and everyone gets in for free, would they'll be people that understand the meaning of the words "competitive" and "casual". Just an annoying irk when I notice inside an online Yu-gi-oh! tournament, and it literally becomes a net-decking spree that everyone would push for the decks that they want most, and what they want least.

I am one of those players, that likes to switch between competitive and casual, but when people decide to go "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, THIS DECK SUCKS.", that's when it irritates me to no end, even when they didn't look at your deck. It's one thing that I want to test decks in tourneys. It's another thing when you know that people play with the decks that want them to "win" and "have fun". Man, it becomes ridiculous, and not worth it.

Now, you know that I make Yu-gi-oh! creations, but when I try to submit one of them to represent what somewhat resembles an icon, one of those idiots told me to weaken it, because someone was going to abuse it. Honestly, I can care less if they get abused. It just means, that someone's actually getting a use out of them, without my efforts going to waste. I shouldn't get the ridicule get to me, but yeah, it becomes ridiculous when people like that exist.

Now, let me ask you this: If I can't relax under good conditions of dueling because we all know that real life can bring a meteor down on our shoulders, should I pick out my opponents instead and try to have fun that way with creations? Or, should I stop caring in general, breakdown, and use what everyone else uses? Personally, I want to have fun, but at the same time, show people that they can be competitive in any situation. But with loud mouth players, it gets harder and harder each day...

Sorry about breaking down into a rant. I needed to relieve some stress that was overflowing and nothing more. Regardless, I'll continue to build decks and be creative, but at the same time, try to be competitive as much as possible. Hopefully, you have a nice day.

Sacred Knight Jeanne

Wikipedia Link: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Sacred_Knight_Jeanne

Discussion:

Well, this card can be interesting and useful at the same time. A 1900 beatstick with a downside: it decreases it's ATK by 300 during damage calculations. However, I'm not pointing out this card for nothing. Well, if you need a monster to replace with "The Warrior Returning Alive", might as well pick this card, because it is searchable by cards like "Reinforcements of the Army". Regardless, if you have cards that are limited, for example: Elemental Hero Stratos, I would suggest to run this card so that when you lose said monster, you would have another retrival process besides Pot of Avarice.

EDIT: Small edit, noticed something was off slightly after I thought about it for a bit. Sorry for giving the wrong idea.

Announcement 6

Well, I thought I explain a few things that I'm considering to change:
  • Considering making a Created Card page where a list of my creations will be on one page in full.
  • Leaving a link of Yu-gi-oh! related sites that can be handy to others.
  • Looking through other Yu-gi-oh! blogs and add them to my "Blogs I Recommend to Read".
Well, that's it for now.

Genex Ally Reliever and Van'Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lord

Seldom, I don't do this at times, but I thought I pass along a question to you guys?

If a Counter Trap is used to negate a card your opponent controls, can you summon both Genex Ally Reliever and Van'Dalgyon? I thought I might as well ask you guys this.

Van'Dalgyon's effect:
After a Counter Trap Card you control negates the activation of an opponent's card(s) or effect(s), you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Then activate the appropriate effects, based on the type of card negated:
• Spell: Inflict 1500 damage to your opponent.
• Trap: Select and destroy 1 card your opponent controls.
• Effect Monster: Select 1 monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it.

Genex Ally Reliever's effect:
If the activation of an opponent's Spell Card, Trap Card, or Effect Monster's effect is negated, you can Special Summon this card from your hand.

This has been bothering me for a bit, and I've been wondering what can occur from this? I mean, they activate in different instances, but do they rule the same as every card that does that?

I just figured, "Might as well ask this before "OMG, WHAT'S THIS CARD?!"" Anyway, I've haven't been argued against summoning both or summoning one because the effects are different. So I ask you, can I summon one, or can I summon both?

Chaos Goddess

Wikipedia Link: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Chaos_Goddess

How come I see not enough use from this? Anyway, what I've notice, the requirements are a little...costly, unless you use Level Stealer and that. So, I decide Chaos-End Master + Level 5 monster, activate Level Stealer, then tune for Chaos Goddess.

So, I'm considering using Magical Merchant to make this faster. But then again, I have to go further than usual to push for this to work.

So, I'm thinking...Chaos deck, anyone? With Polar God Loki, Thor, and Odin? This'll be interesting to see, eh?
